Ok , so here is the battery that I got from Ebay seller supermart168 .On first glance You can see that the battery keeps the screen from opening all the way and Its not the battery that was pictured and so I left a negative response after finding out that they have continued to do business like this after complaints and returns before with a couple of other members on eeeuser.com(beside it being false advertising and against Ebays rules!!) Instead of getting screwed with shipping the thing back and not having my feedback to leave to let others know of This injustice.I choose to keep it and leave a 100% negative feedback . Screw you supermart168.
On a more positive note . The battery gives me right around 5.5 hours of life while on my first test .With brightness set at 50% I downloaded a 700mb file via rtorrent, I watched one .avi movie stored on my harddrive,Installed wireshark, and surfed the web the whole time . When i wasn't watching the movie i was listening to mp3s podcasts from the LinuxOutlaws the whole time (yep ,I had to catch up on em' , I love em!). Also ,I was using irssi while chating in 6 or 7 channels . I say that the charge held up well though at 9:27 my os (crunchbang) was showing 7.2 percent charge yet it lasted till 11:36 after the fact.
I should also add that #! crunchbang now shows how much battery i actually have left after a full battery drain and reboot .Crunchbang says 5 hours and 30 mintues now that it actually had a chance to gauge the battery and learn it, of course I dont know how it works ,but it does now!!
I hear others have gotten the battery they actually have pictured for Eees like the 900a from unknown vendors and they say that they rather have one like this were the screen doesn't actually open all way like the one I have and has alot less for the backend of the netbook to be jackup on sitting all weirdish , I dunno . Here are some pictures .You be the judge .
